This is where the big misconception about the causes of modern heart disease originates from. Because of the fact that, due to their unbalanced diets, animals have high ratios of omega 6s to omega 3s, red meat is being blamed for causing heart diseases. However, at the same time, the contemporary medical community dismisses the fact that in other areas of the world where cattle are still being fed with grass, there is not a single occurrence of heart disease!
So, what is the basic conclusion? As is the case in all things in nature, maintaining balance in our dietary preferences is the secret to well being and health.
